Important Update Regarding Oneonta Veterinary Hospital
As many of you know, Oneonta Veterinary Hospital recently experienced a devastating fire that caused significant damage to our building. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, the fire destroyed all seven of our exam rooms and left portions of our hospital, including our front entrance, unusable.
Despite these challenges, we are pleased to share that we will reopen on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and resume our normal business hours, operating at a limited capacity while repairs continue. Our team has been working tirelessly to restore services as quickly as possible, and we are excited to once again care for the pets and families of our community.
What to Expect for Your Appointment
To help us continue providing safe, efficient care while we operate with limited space, we ask that all clients follow these temporary procedures:
-
Please call us at (607) 432-8570 when you arrive for your appointment.
-
Remain in your vehicle with your pet(s) until a member of our team is ready to escort you directly to an exam room.
-
Please enter the building through our back (employee) entrance, as our front entrance was damaged in the fire and is currently unavailable.
-
Our drive-through window remains open for prescription and food pick-ups.
Because we have limited exam room space, you may experience longer wait times than usual. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these temporary challenges.
Although our hospital is operating differently right now, one thing hasn't changed—our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. We remain dedicated to serving the Oneonta community and are grateful for the incredible support, encouragement, and kindness you've shown our team throughout this difficult time.
Thank you for your patience as we continue rebuilding. We look forward to welcoming you and your pets back to Oneonta Veterinary Hospital and appreciate your partnership as we move forward together.
